Description: horseback riding and dog sledding raid

Day 1 After breakfast, the day begins with a guided snowshoeing trek, followed by a BBQ in the snow. Beginning of the afternoon, you will get a short presentation of the guide and horses, and we go right away in the forest to discover the pleasure of riding in the snow and to get used to our horse.
Getting back to the Inn, we prepare our next day and you can profit from our spa and sauna.
Supper and night at the Inn.
Day 2 Start of the great adventure, towards the Faunic Reserve of Papineau-Labelle. We follow the great Rivière du Lièvre, cross the covered bridges dating from 1903 and continue our ride to the Kiamika village. The small village restaurant will serve us breakfast. After the dinner pause, we go along our way over the hills, to get to the Faunic Reserve of Papineau-Labelle. We arrive at our camp site at Lake Ka-ra-kon in the late afternoon, take care of our horses and appreciate the bonfire and the heated prospector tent.
Supper and night at the camp site.
Day 3 This morning, we take an old trapper trail and follow the ruisseau du Diable, going by La Neau. The nice frozen waterfalls encountered along our way are an opportunity to get our lunch. Our guide takes the time to show us some tricks for survival in the forest, just like how to make a fire in the snow to cook our BBQ. The afternoon brings us back to our camp site through Lake Gorman, and with a bit of chance, we will see some deers.
Supper and night at the camp site.
Day 4 After a hearty breakfast, we leave the camp site and take the trail to get back to the Inn. We follow a an active stream for many kilometers and we contemplate the magnificent landscape with snow covered trees. The Kiamika restaurant welcomes us again for dinner. Arrival at the Inn in the middle of the afternoon, where we will profit again of the spa and sauna, before our next day adventure.
Supper and night at the Inn.
Day 5 This morning, we learn to lead a 5 to 6 dogs team. In the beginning, it is very impressive, but we get used to it very fast and we feel comfortable like a real musher. Accompanied by our guide, we follow the trail for 40 km through the spruces forest, streams and frozen lakes. Grilled meat at lunch time will give us strenght to get to our destination: le Refuge Doucet, made all of logs.
